The original image was shot during the 'tourist' period of the DVRR Baby Gauge.
The piles of debris in the background are the tailing areas of the Widow mine. On this lower level, tunnels run into the slope along side which the Baby Gauge is running, as well as deep into the opposite slope. The tailings were spread across the wash and used to form a loop to turn the Baby Gauge train. Other entrances are scattered along both slopes at progressivly higher levels up the canyon.
